Mobile Notary Services in Buffalo, NY: Fees, Travel and What to Bring

Sign & Serve offers mobile notary coordination in the Buffalo metro area by appointment, subject to the availability of a duly commissioned New York notary. Mobile service can be useful when a signer cannot easily travel to a bank, office, or other fixed notary location.

To request a mobile appointment or combine notary needs with process-service support, use the Sign & Serve service page.

Our Published Mobile Service Pricing

  • Buffalo-metro mobile travel/service call — from $35

  • Same-day mobile appointment — add $15

  • After-hours or weekend appointment — add $20

  • New York statutory notarial fees are separate from the mobile travel/service call

New York Notarial Fees

For traditional in-person notarizations, New York law generally limits the notarial fee for an oath, affirmation, acknowledgment, or proof of execution to $2 per person for the applicable notarial act. Electronic notarial acts have a separate fee structure for notaries registered to perform electronic notarization.

For the current state rules and fee information, review the New York Department of State Notary Public FAQ.

What to Have Ready

  • The complete document that needs notarization

  • Valid government-issued identification for the signer

  • All required signers present unless the document and notarial act allow otherwise

  • Any witness requirements identified by the document or requesting agency

  • The exact address and preferred appointment time for mobile service

What a Notary Cannot Do

A notary verifies identity and performs authorized notarial acts. A notary does not give legal advice, choose a notarial certificate for a customer when doing so would amount to legal advice, or guarantee that a document will be accepted by a court, agency, lender, or other recipient.

Process Service and Notary Support in One Place

Law firms, property managers, businesses, and individuals may need both document delivery and notarization support. Sign & Serve can coordinate the service request, document upload, process-serving assignment, and mobile notary appointment as separate services when appropriate.

Request Mobile Notary Service in Buffalo
